Woodberry Wine adds wines from Arnot-Roberts to its portfolio
Highly rated Healdsburg, California producer bordering on cult status
Troy, Mich. – Woodberry Wine, LLC announces the addition of Arnot-Roberts to their portfolio, and introduces another authentic and extraordinary producer to the Michigan market. Although allocated, there is immediate availability of highly crafted Sonoma North Coast Syrah, Napa Valley Watson Ranch Chardonnay, and California North Coast Trousseau. Founders Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts are considered among the most progressive up and coming California winemakers who have been able to re-imagine California wine making. Indeed, in 2013, the San Francisco Chronical named the duo “winemakers of the year.”
Friends since high school, Duncan and Nathan started Arnot-Roberts in 2001, making just one barrel of wine, and have carefully built a reputation for crafting wines that are exciting, yet restrained and elegant. They make wines first and foremost that they like and they work with farmers and partners that they believe in. They have a knack for finding distinctive vineyard sites, many of which were either unknown or completely unheralded at the time (Clary Ranch for Syrah, Fellom Ranch for Cabernet, Luschinger for Trousseau, and Trout Gulch for Chardonnay, for example). Their winery operation is based in Healdsberg, CA and they currently produce wine hailing from 15 distinctive vineyard sites.
