Poças has three farms, one in each of the sub-regions of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro – the oldest regulated wine region in the world and classified as world heritage by UNESCO in 2001, with a total area of 100 hectares, of which 76 hac are occupied with vineyards.
Quinta das Quartas in Fontelas (Baixo Corgo), Quinta de Santa Bárbara in Ervedosa do Douro (Cima Corgo) and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos in Numão (Douro Superior), are the first home of the family’s wines.
With more than 100 years of life, Pocas is currently in the hands of the 4th generation of the family, being one of the rare port wine companies that was born Portuguese and that continues to belong to the same family that gave rise to it and its name since its foundation.
